Data controller
Polished Edge ("the App") is provided by Sole Proprietor Artem Danylov (FOP Danylov Artem), Tax ID 3459515134, 18a Voskresenska St, apt. 364, Kyiv, Ukraine, trading as PG ArtLab ("we", "us").
This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information. If you have questions, contact us at support@pg-artlab.com.
Summary
Polished Edge is an offline-first app for solo professionals. We do not operate servers that store your business data. We do not sell your data, use advertising SDKs, or track you across apps and websites.
Almost all information you enter stays on your iPhone or iPad. The exceptions are optional Apple services you choose to use (App Store purchases and, for PRO users, iCloud Drive backup).
Information stored on your device
The App stores data you enter locally, including client names and contact details, appointments, services, tags, notes, financial records, expenses, and app settings.
This data is kept in an on-device database protected with iOS Data Protection. When your device is locked, the database may be unavailable until you unlock it.
You are responsible for the accuracy and lawful collection of client information you enter into the App.
Your role regarding client data
When you store information about your clients in the App, you act as the data controller (or equivalent) for that information. We do not access, host, or process your client database on our servers and are not your data processor for that information.
You must provide your clients with any notices and obtain any consents required by law. We are not responsible for how you collect, use, disclose, or secure client personal data, or for disputes between you and your clients.
Device permissions
Contacts (optional): If you import a client from your address book, the App reads only the contact you select. We do not upload your contacts to our servers.
Notifications (optional): The App can schedule local reminders on your device. Notification content is generated locally and is not sent to us.
Opening other apps: The App may open SMS, phone, Telegram, WhatsApp, Viber, or Instagram using system deeplinks you trigger. We do not receive the content of those messages.
iCloud Drive backup (PRO)
If you subscribe to PRO and enable iCloud sync, backup files are stored in your personal iCloud Drive container (iCloud.PGCore.Polished-Edge).
We do not have access to your iCloud account or backup files. Apple processes and secures iCloud data under Apple's privacy policy.
Home Screen widget
The optional widget displays today's appointments from a local snapshot shared between the App and the widget extension on your device.
Widget content may include client names and appointment times and can appear on your Home Screen or Lock Screen. You control whether the widget is added.
Backup export and file sharing
You can export backup files (.pebackup / JSON) to the Files app or share them using the system share sheet. Exported files contain your business data. You are responsible for where you store or send them.
Purchases
PRO subscriptions and lifetime purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We receive only purchase status from Apple to unlock PRO features. We do not receive your payment card details.
Products: Polished Edge PRO Monthly (PGLabs.Polished_Edge.pro.monthly) and Polished Edge PRO Lifetime (PGLabs.Polished_Edge.pro).
What we do not collect
We do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, or crash reports through third-party SDKs.
We do not require an account, email login, or phone number to use the App.
Our Privacy Manifest declares no data collection types and no tracking.
Children
The App is designed for professional use by adults running a solo practice. It is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA where applicable).
You must not use the App to unlawfully process children's personal data. If you believe a child has provided us personal data directly, contact support@pg-artlab.com.
Retention and deletion
Data remains on your device until you edit or delete it, uninstall the App, or restore from a backup.
To remove App data, delete the App from your device or erase its data in iOS Settings. Remove iCloud backup files separately in iCloud Drive if enabled.
Because we do not host your data, we cannot delete your on-device data remotely. Email us if you have questions about data you sent to us directly (e.g. support correspondence).
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
For data stored only on your device, you can exercise these rights directly in the App or by deleting the data. For requests relating to information we hold (such as support emails), contact support@pg-artlab.com. We respond within 30 days.
If you are in Ukraine, you may also contact the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights regarding personal data protection.
If you are in the EEA or UK, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
